Both Transitive and Intransitive Verbs

Eat

Transitive Usage
-Because I didn't have much time, I prepared a sandwich and ate it.
-My father was so hungry that he ate a loaf of bread.

Intransitive Usage
-Since all of us were upset, the meal was eaten in silence.
-After we eat in my favourite restaurant, we will go to the theatre.  

Run

Transitive Usage
-My uncle runs a restaurant.
-I ran five miles this morning.

Intransitive Usage
-David just runs at jogging track.
-Just after the burglar saw the host, he ran away.

Clean

Transitive Usage
-After the doctor examined the patient, nurse cleaned the wound.
-Because my mother isn't at home, I have to clean all rooms by myself.

Intransitive Usage
-When I went home, I realized that all rooms were cleaned by housekeeper.
-The room was cleaned, before we settled in.

    I like your example sentences as they are informative and clear. However, I tend to disagree with the examples that you have given related to the intransitive use of the verb "clean". In the passive voice, the verb is used transitively. I recommend you to change your example sentences with the verb "clean" in the intransitive category.
