Clean
Transitive Usage
-After the doctor examined the patient, nurse cleaned the wound.
-Because my mother isn't at home, I have to clean all rooms by myself.
Intransitive Usage
-When I went home, I realized that all rooms were cleaned by housekeeper.
-The room was cleaned, before we settled in.

ReplyDeleteI like your example sentences as they are informative and clear. However, I tend to disagree with the examples that you have given related to the intransitive use of the verb "clean". In the passive voice, the verb is used transitively. I recommend you to change your example sentences with the verb "clean" in the intransitive category.
